1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the TruRout mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TruRout Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, a company incorporated in Sri Lanka ("TruRout", "we", "us", "our").

By registering an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Our Services

TruRout provides a technology platform that connects passengers seeking transportation with independent driver-partners offering ride-sharing services across Sri Lanka. TruRout is a technology intermediary — we do not provide transportation services directly and are not a transportation company.

Drivers using the TruRout platform are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of TruRout Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. TruRout does not control the manner or means by which drivers provide transportation services.

Driver subscription model: TruRout operates on a flat daily subscription model. Drivers pay LKR 250 per day to access the platform and retain 100% of all fares collected from passengers.

5. Driver Terms

5.1 Independent Contractor Status

5.2 Driver Subscription

To access trip requests through the Platform, drivers must maintain an active daily subscription (LKR 250/day). A driver whose subscription has lapsed will be automatically set to offline status and will not receive trip assignments until the subscription is renewed.

5.3 Driver Obligations

5.4 Driver Earnings

Drivers retain 100% of all fares collected from passengers, minus the daily platform subscription fee. TruRout does not collect any commission on individual trips.

6. Passenger Terms

6.1 Booking Rides

Passengers may book rides through the TruRout app. By requesting a ride, you agree to the fare estimate provided and authorise TruRout to facilitate payment of the final fare.

6.2 Passenger Obligations

6.3 Cancellations

Passengers may cancel a trip request before a driver has accepted. Cancellation policies and any applicable fees after driver acceptance will be specified in the app at the time of booking.

7. Payments & Fees

Payments on the TruRout platform are processed through licensed payment service providers operating in Sri Lanka, including WebXPay, Paycorp, LankaPay JustPay, and LankaQR. All fares and fees are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR).
